4. Purpose of registering customer information

Customer information may be handled for and used to the following purposes:

  • Taking care of and developing the customer relationship
  • Rendering services
  • Sales and marketing
  • Communications
  • Analysis and compilation of statistics
  • Development of customer service
  • Business development
  • Confirmation of customer events
  • Polls and market research
  • Other similar purposes

Customer information may be handled and used in all Finnish CHS Group companies in compliance with the Personal Data Act of Finland.

5. Contents of the register

The register may contain the following information:

  • Contact information, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail addresses, for a company or a person
  • Information connected with registering, such as username, password, and other possible identifying insignia
  • Sex, mother tongue, title, or occupation of a person
  • Line of business of a company
  • Information connected with the customer relationship, such as information on payments and invoicing, product and order information, customer feedback, information on contacting
  • Information connected with communicating and use of services, such as information on browsing and search
  • Information given by the customer on customer profile or points of interest
  • Possible permissions and agreements
  • Information on possible prohibition for offering services
  • Other information collected with the consent of the customer

6. Regular sources of information

Information on the customer will, as a rule, be obtained:

  • From the customer by phone, by email, through the internet or by another similar manner
  • With the help of cookies or other similar techniques
  • From public or private person, company or trade registers
  • From other similar private or public registers

7. Regular extradition and transfer of information outside the EU or the European Economic Community

Information will be regularly handed over to customer companies for

  • Sales and marketing
  • Producing services
  • Buying services
  • Other similar purposes

Information will not be regularly extradited or transferred to others than customer companies.

8. Rights of the registered persons or companies

Right to examine and correct

The registered person or company has the right to examine the information on him in the register.  Requests concerning the right to examine must be submitted signed and in writing to the address mentioned in point 1.

If there are mistakes in the registered information, the registered person or company can submit a request on correcting mistakes to the contact person mentioned in point 2.

Right of denial

The registered person or company has the right to deny the register holder to use information on him for the purposes of direct advertising, e-commerce, or other direct marketing as well as of market and opinion research.

In matters concerning denial and correction of information, the registered can be in contact with the register holder by mail to the address mentioned in point 1.

Electronically recorded information

Only employees, who through their work have a mandate to handle customer information, have access to the systems containing information on customers. Each user has a personal username and password to the systems.  Moving in the working environment is supervised by passes. Information will be stored in databases, which are protected with firewalls, passwords, and other technical means. Databases and their backup copies are stored in locked spaces and only specially designated persons have access to the information.
